Prepare your devices before your event
Prepare and test all your scanning devices before guests arrive.
A few checks before event day can help prevent delays at the gate.
Before your event
Check that every device:
- Is fully charged
- Has the Quicket Access Control app installed
- Can log in successfully
- Can access the correct event
- Has permission to use the camera
- Can scan a test ticket
- Can connect to the internet
If you're using multiple devices
Connect each device to the internet before scanning starts so it can synchronise with the latest Guest List.
Quicket's mobile Access Control app can continue scanning if a device loses its connection, but it uses the locally stored version of the Guest List until it reconnects.
Test your setup
Before opening your gates:
2
Select the correct event and time slot.
4
Confirm the expected ticket information appears.
5
Undo or reset your test check-ins.
6
Confirm all devices are ready.
Plan for charging
For longer events, make sure you have:
- Charging cables
- Power points or power banks
- Spare devices where possible
Keep screen brightness at a practical level to help conserve battery.
Before switching events or logging out
If a device has been scanning offline, reconnect it to the internet and allow it to synchronise first.
Logging out or switching events before synchronisation can cause offline check-in information to be lost.
What’s next?
Make sure your scanning setup is ready before guests begin arriving.
