Understand your Check-In Report
The Check-In Report helps you understand not only how many guests attended, but also when they arrived and how attendance differed across ticket types and categories.
Key Metrics
This gives you a quick overview of:
Tickets booked
The total number of tickets or related items recorded for your event.
Tickets checked in
The total number of tickets that were checked in.
Percentage checked in
The percentage of booked tickets that were checked in.
Keep in mind that ticket totals can include items such as merchandise or donations that aren't necessarily used for admission.
Ticket Type
Use the ticket-type view to compare attendance across the tickets you've sold.
| Ticket type |
Booked |
Checked in |
| General |
500 |
420 |
| VIP |
100 |
92 |
| Child |
150 |
118 |
This can help you understand no-show rates for different ticket types.
Ticket Category
If you use Ticket Categories, the report can group check-in performance by those categories.
This gives you another way to analyse attendance without changing the ticket types guests see when booking.
Check-In Flow
The Flow of Check-ins chart shows the number of guests checking in per hour from the time the first ticket is scanned.
Use this to understand:
- Your busiest arrival periods
- When queues were likely longest
- Whether you had enough gate staff
- When additional scanning capacity may be needed next time
Why review this after your event?
Your Check-In Report can help you plan future events by showing:
- Actual attendance versus tickets issued
- Peak arrival times
- Attendance by ticket type
- Attendance by category

Compare your attendance with your sales and final event results to improve future planning.
