Set up refund protection
Refund protection gives ticket buyers an optional way to protect their ticket purchase against certain unforeseen circumstances.

Quicket currently offers refund protection through XCover when organiser refunds are switched off.

The guest pays for the protection during checkout.
How refund protection works

As the organiser, you can choose whether your event allows ordinary ticket refunds.

If organiser refunds are switched off, eligible ticket buyers may be offered the option to purchase refund protection when they check out.

If a buyer later needs to make an eligible claim, the refund is handled by the protection provider rather than being deducted from your event funds.

What can refund protection cover?

Refund protection is designed for certain unforeseen circumstances that prevent a ticket holder from attending.

The ticket buyer will need to meet the protection provider's eligibility requirements and may need to provide supporting documentation.
What isn't covered?

Refund protection doesn't automatically cover every reason for missing an event.

Examples that may not be covered include:
  • Simply changing your mind
  • Certain work-related issues
  • Some transport issues
  • Claims without the required supporting evidence
Refund protection also isn't a replacement for the organiser's obligations when an event itself is cancelled or postponed.
Refund protection vs organiser refunds

These are two different things.

Organiser refunds
You allow guests to request refunds according to your event’s refund settings and Quicket’s applicable terms.
Refund protection
The guest purchases additional protection from a third-party provider and claims through that provider if they meet the cover conditions.
What happens if I cancel or postpone my event?

Refund protection is not intended to replace the refund process for a cancelled or postponed event.

If an event is cancelled or postponed, Quicket has a separate process for notifying ticket buyers and dealing with applicable refunds.
