Ticket transfer vs ticket edit

Ticket transfer vs ticket edit

Ticket transfer vs ticket edit
Ticket transfers and ticket edits do different things.
Choosing the correct option helps make sure the right person has control of the ticket.
Edit your ticket when:

You are still using the ticket yourself but need to correct or update information.

For example:

  • Your name was entered incorrectly
  • Your contact details have changed
  • You need to correct information requested by the organiser
The ticket remains in your Quicket account.
Transfer your ticket when:

Another person will be using the ticket.

For example:

  • You bought a ticket for a friend
  • You bought several tickets and want to send them to the other attendees
  • You're giving your ticket to someone else

When you transfer a ticket:

  • It is removed from your account
  • The existing barcode is replaced
  • The recipient receives the ticket
  • The recipient manages their own ticket details
Don't use a ticket edit as a transfer

Changing the name on a ticket doesn't move ownership or control of the ticket to another Quicket account.

If someone else will be using the ticket, use Transfer tickets where available.
What if I'm selling the ticket?

If you're selling rather than giving away the ticket, check whether List Ticket For Resale is available under your booking.

Quicket's resale feature can manage the purchase, replacement ticket and refund for you.
