Create your first event

Create your first event
Create your event page, add your event details and set up the tickets you want to sell.
1. Start creating your event

Go to Quicket and select Create Event.

Log in to your Quicket account, or create an account if you don’t have one yet.

2. Set up your Organiser Profile

Choose an existing Organiser Profile or create a new one.

Your Organiser Profile identifies who is organising the event and can be used across multiple events.

You’ll need to provide:
  • Organiser or brand name
  • Contact email address

The organiser name is visible on your event page. The email address is used by Quicket for support and is not shown publicly.

3. Add your event details

Enter the information guests need to know about your event. Select each option below to learn more.

Event name

Enter the name of your event as you want it to appear on your event page and tickets.

Keep the name clear and easy to recognise. You generally don’t need to include the date or venue in the event name, as these are displayed separately.

Description

Tell guests what your event is about and what they can expect.

Include the most important information guests should know before buying a ticket, such as what the event includes, special instructions, arrival information or anything else that may affect their experience.

You can add more detailed information to your event page later from your Event Dashboard.

Age restriction, if applicable

Select the appropriate age restriction if your event has one.

Make sure the restriction accurately reflects who is allowed to attend. If guests may need to provide identification at the entrance, include that information in your event description.

Date and time

Select when your event starts and ends.

Make sure you enter the correct date and time, as this information is displayed to guests on your event page.

If your event takes place across multiple dates or time slots, you can configure the appropriate schedule during your event setup.

Venue

Enter where your event will take place.

Choose the correct venue and check that the location information is accurate so guests know where to go.

If your event is online, select the appropriate online event option instead.

Public or Private listing

Choose how people can find your event on Quicket.

Public events can be discovered through Quicket and may appear in event searches and listings.

Private events are not publicly listed. Guests will generally need the direct event link to access the event page.

Choose Private if your event is intended for a specific audience or you don’t want it to be discoverable through Quicket.

Event format

Choose the format that best describes how guests will attend your event.

For example, your event may take place at a physical venue or online.

Selecting the correct format helps ensure the event is set up appropriately and guests receive the right information.

Event category

Choose the category that best describes your event.

For example, your event may be a music event, festival, conference, workshop or sporting event.

Selecting the most relevant category helps Quicket understand what type of event you’re hosting and can make it easier for guests to discover relevant events.

You can also add event artwork now or add it later from your Event Dashboard.
4. Create your tickets

Choose the type of ticket you want to create:

Paid – charge guests a set ticket price.
Free – allow guests to register without paying.
Donation – allow guests to choose how much they would like to contribute.

Add the ticket name, price where applicable, and the number of tickets available.

You can create multiple ticket types and customise their individual settings.

5. Review and create your event

Check your event and ticket information, then select Create Event.

You’ll be taken to your Event Dashboard, where you can continue editing and setting up your event.

When you’re ready to publish your event, select Submit for Approval.
