Track your event with Google Analytics and Meta Pixel

Track your event with Google Analytics and Meta Pixel
Connect your own tracking tools to your Quicket event to better understand how people find your event and what they do before completing a purchase.

Quicket supports Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Meta tracking tools, allowing you to measure activity on your event and ticket purchase pages.

Why use tracking tools?

Tracking tools can help you understand how your marketing campaigns are performing and where your ticket buyers are coming from.

You can use this information to:

  • Measure traffic to your event
  • Understand where visitors are coming from
  • Track ticket purchase activity
  • Measure the performance of advertising campaigns
  • Build audiences for future marketing campaigns
  • Improve your marketing based on buyer behaviour
The information available to you will depend on the tracking platform you connect and how it is configured.
Google Analytics 4 (GA4)

Google Analytics 4 can help you understand how people interact with your event and ticket purchase journey.

What you'll need

You'll need your Google Analytics Measurement ID.

A Measurement ID normally looks similar to:
G-XXXXXXXXXX

You can find this in your Google Analytics account under your website's data stream.

Connect Google Analytics to your event
1
Log in to your Quicket account.
2
Open Organiser Hub.
3
Select the event you want to manage.
4
Open your event's marketing or tracking settings.
5
Find the Google Analytics tracking option.
6
Enter your GA4 Measurement ID.
7
Save your changes.
Google Analytics data may not appear immediately. Processing times are controlled by Google and can vary.
Meta Pixel

Meta Pixel helps you measure activity generated by advertising and marketing on platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.

It can help you understand whether people who see or interact with your Meta campaigns go on to visit your event and purchase tickets.

What you'll need

You'll need the Pixel ID from your Meta Business account.

Connect your Meta Pixel
1
Log in to your Quicket account.
2
Open Organiser Hub.
3
Select the event you want to manage.
4
Open your event's marketing or tracking settings.
5
Find the Meta Pixel option.
6
Enter your Pixel ID.
7
Save your changes.
Quicket will then use the Pixel ID when sending supported activity to Meta.
Meta Conversions API

Meta Conversions API works alongside Meta's browser-based tracking to send supported event activity directly to Meta.

This can help improve conversion measurement where browser-based tracking may be limited.

Depending on your Quicket setup, you may be able to use Meta Conversions API together with your Meta Pixel.

You'll need the relevant details from your Meta Business account to configure the integration.

Tip: Meta Pixel and Conversions API are managed through Meta. If you need help creating a Pixel, configuring your Meta account or interpreting your advertising results, refer to Meta's support documentation.
What can I track?

The exact information available depends on the tracking platform, your configuration and the buyer's browser or privacy settings.

Tracking may include activity such as:

  • Visits to your event page
  • Progress through the ticket purchase journey
  • Completed ticket purchases
  • Conversion activity associated with your marketing campaigns
Not every visit or purchase will necessarily be recorded. Browser privacy controls, cookie settings, ad blockers and other privacy technologies can affect third-party tracking.
Can I add my own tracking script?

For security and privacy reasons, you can't paste arbitrary JavaScript or third-party tracking code directly into your Quicket event page.

Use the supported tracking integrations available in your event settings instead.

If you need to use a tracking platform that isn't available, contact Quicket Support to discuss your requirements.
Tracking multiple events

Tracking settings are configured for the relevant Quicket event.

If you manage multiple events, check the tracking settings for each event to make sure the correct Google Analytics or Meta details have been added.

This is particularly important if different events use different advertising accounts, Pixels or Analytics properties.
Before launching a campaign

Before spending money on an advertising campaign, we recommend checking that:

  • Your tracking ID has been entered correctly
  • The correct Google Analytics property or Meta Pixel is being used
  • Your event page is published
  • Your tracking platform is receiving activity
  • Your advertising campaign is using the correct conversion or measurement settings
Quicket provides the integration between your event and supported tracking platforms, but your Google or Meta account, campaigns, audiences and reporting are managed through those platforms.
