You've always been able to add a donation box to your Quicket events to collect some extra funds while people buy tickets. Now you can very simply enable Collections - a new feature which provides you with a link to your own collections page, a QR code for people to scan and pay, and your own widget code to copy and embed a collections button on your own website. You can even choose to enable collections on your
Quicket streaming page to collect funds during your online event. Payments made via Collections require no login from the user and can be completed by card in just a couple of clicks.
Set up

Slide 'Enable collections' to ON, and you'll see some fields appear to start filling in your details.
Collections title: Give a brief but descriptive title for your Collections so people know what their money is going towards.
Description: You can elaborate a bit on the reason you're collecting funds here. This is not required, but is a nice way to give a bit more detail. There is a character limit of 130 so get creative but be brief!
Button text: If you use the widget code to embed a collections button on your own website, this is your call to action to get people to donate. The default text is DONATE, but you can customise this to whatever you like (as long as it's less than 30 characters).
Enable collections on streaming page: If you've enabled streaming for your Quicket event (you can find more information on that
here), you can slide to ON to have your collections widget display on the Quicket streaming page to collect donations from attendees during the event.
Enable pre-defined price options: If ON, we will recommend a few price options on the collections widget for people simply click and pay (these prices are R20, R50 and R100). They will also have the ability to enter a custom amount to donate. If OFF, people will only have the ability to enter and donate a custom amount, and the price option of R20, R50 and R100 will not appear.
Click SAVE COLLECTIONS DETAILS once you've filled in all the information.
Start collecting
Once all of your details are saved, a section will appear with all of the ways you can share & start collecting donations.

Your collections page link: you can copy and share this link anywhere you'd like - social media posts, newsletters, What's App messages. This link will take people to a very simple page on Quicket where they can enter the amount they'd like to pay and compete payment. Here's an example of what this page looks like:

Widget code: If you have your own website that you'd like to collect donations from, this is the code you'll need to use to embed a button that users can click to donate. Here's an example of an embedded button widget:
Download QR code: This is a PNG image of a unique QR code for you to download for people to scan and pay using the cameras on their smartphones. Scanning the QR code will open up the Collections page in the browser of their phone. This is another great option if you're running a livestream event - simply overlay the QR code image in the corner of your video stream and people can scan as they watch.
And finally, if you've enabled collections on your
streaming page, here's an example of how your streaming page may look:

Fees
Please note that the same low commission of just 4.9% (ex VAT) that applies to ticketing on Quicket also applies to Collections. Booking fees for Collections, however, are reduced to R3 per donation. At this time, Collections are only available for the currency ZAR, but we hope to have this available for more currencies soon!
Please see
here more details about Quicket's fees.
